We are looking for our new Director!

Are you the new Director of the Challenges Forum or do you know who is? We are currently looking for our next Director to lead the Challenges Forum International Secretariat – an exciting opportunity to support our global partnership in shaping the debate on more effective peace operations!

As Dr. Björn Holmberg, who has been the Director of the Challenges Forum since 2017, is moving on to new professional opportunities we are currently looking for a new Director. Under Dr. Holmberg’s leadership, the Challenges Forum has increased its relevance as a platform for informal dialogue on peace operations and we thank him for his time as Director. The incoming Director will have the benefit of working with a dedicated team and an engaged global Partnership contributing to more effective peace operations!

The Secretariat is hosted by our Swedish partner Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) and based in Stockholm, Sweden. FBA is in charge of the recruitment process. The incoming Director of the Secretariat have two main tasks – representing and developing the international network and leading the Secretariats daily activities as part of a Swedish governmental authority, which is why knowledge of Swedish is a requirement.
